Trav’s 2025 NFC Divisional Round Predictions
We are now down to the final four teams in the NFC playoffs. My Wild Card picks weren’t the best but could’ve been much worse. My record was 4-2 with both losses coming from each side. In the AFC, the Houston Texans blew out Los Angeles to advance to the Divisional Round. The Washington Commanders beat Tampa by a last second field goal to advance. The AFC Divisional Round has been set in what should be two great games. In the NFC, we already knew that Washington was headed to Detroit to face the Lions. Los Angeles blew out Minnesota in a game played in Arizona due to the wildfires. With the win, the Rams will head to Philadelphia to face the Eagles. Can the rookie Jayden Daniels go to Detroit and pull off the upset? How will the Rams fare against this Eagles team they fell to earlier?
In the first game, the Washington Commanders will head to Detroit to face the Lions. The game will take place on Saturday night at 8 pm on Fox. The Commanders have won six games in a row coming into this one. Jayden Daniels is the offensive rookie of the year and will also get MVP votes too. Terry McClaurin is one of the great receivers in the league, but they have others stepping up. How will this defense fare against the Lions explosive offense? Detroit is coming off their bye week and it’s much needed with all their injuries. David Montgomery will make his return when we thought he was done for the season. The Lions have one of the best run games in the league and they can wear down Washington. The defense will make huge plays and will help guide them back to the NFC title game. Lions Win 31-21
We have a rematch from earlier in the season as the Philadelphia Eagles host the Los Angeles Rams. We have the Rams visiting Philadelphia this time and the game is on Peacock/NBC on Sunday at 3 pm. The Rams have played like it’s the playoffs for the past couple of months. The last time they lost a game that meant anything was against this Eagles team. Both sides of the ball have been playing their best coming into this game. The Eagles come into this game as one of the Super Bowl favorites. The offense can score at will and the defense showed why they’re one of the best last weekend. The injury to Nakobe Dean will be vital, especially against this Rams team. It feels like Los Angeles is playing their best ball at the right time and think they’ll win this rematch. Rams Win 27-24
