Kristaps Porzingis to Make Season Debut Tonight

The Boston Celtics will get a key piece of their championship team back tonight. Boston Celtics center Kristaps Porzingis will make his season debut Monday night against the LA Clippers. Porzingis has been making rapid improvements in his recovery from foot surgery in late June. Kristaps has been scrimmaging with the team and their G-League squad. The Celtics set metrics for Porzingis to reach throughout his rehab process. Boston made sure to balance his body to supplement the healing of his leg injury from last season. Porzingis arrived in the Celtics in a 2023 offseason trade and become an NBA champion for the first time in dramatic fashion last season. He came back from a calf strain in the first round of the playoffs to play in three games in the NBA Finals, including Game 5 after suffering this rare tendon injury in Game 2.

Boston currently has a 14-3 record and remains 2.5 games behind the 17-1 Cleveland Cavaliers. The Celtics are the only team to defeat the Cavs this season. The Celtics defeated the Mavs in five games last season to win their 18th championship.
