Joel Embiid Signs 3-Year Extension with 76ers
Joel Embiid and the Philadelphia 76ers have agreed to a 3-year extension worth $193 million. Embiid is coming off a 2023-24 season where he played in only 39 games and averaged per game career highs with 34.7 points and 5.6 assists. He also shot 52.9% from the field, 88.3% from the free throw line and 38.8% from three-point range. The 30-year-old Embiid is a seven-time All-Star, two-time scoring champion, and was All-NBA First Team in 2023 to go along with his only MVP award. Embiid spent the summer helping Team USA with the Gold Medal at the 2024 Olympics.
